I stayed with a young couple students nearby the University.
It was not a perfect place, but we can see beautiful summer sky
and mountains just through the living window. Because I was sure
my life was going to a stable period of time, I started to plan
my future shopping. ;P My big beautiful Sony PC monitor was
bought during that period of time. We stayed there for about one
month or two.
Then, you may already see from the screen, Yang came, and we
found another much better flat just a few steps away. ^_^
Below on the right is my legend Chinese originated supervisor
Professor Gao. The photo was taken during one of our earliest
conferences.

Latter on, we went back to Royal Holloway together to
attend the 2007 BAA (British Accounting Association)
Conference, with our new flatmate (on the right, specified
later). Had a wonderful conference dinner, with fabulous PhD
friends as well.

As for Our New Flat, it was a quite nice place, but
because it is in Edinburgh, we had a lot of rains and
darkness during the Winter. Well, so there had been a lot of
rainbow as well. The first two pictures below link to two
small video clips of both of them. ^_^
Random photographs of the most seeing sceneries of my daily
life, during this period of time.
I also started to take driving lessons from that time,
hoping to get a British driving licence. There were a lot of
compliments for my brilliance during the class. However,
when I wanted to take the exam she started keep saying that
"You are not Ready! You are not Ready!!", while I have
already paid her over £800.00, I quit. Never thought I can
be really so slow on learn driving. Actually I had been
driving for many years when I was in China, never had any
problem. Well, despite that my uncle was a police, and I was
driving his car. :P

Friends' Visit - Linna
A lot of friends also came to visit after I moved in. The
first one below is lovely linna.

| Linna came with Fireworks on the
Castle. Tried to be my painting model, but out of
patience. ;P |

Friends' Visit - Sarah
Sarah was so nearby now. How I we not get together?!! ~
|
No matter what you had in mind about Sarah, just
look at below, that's how she looked like when I
first went to visit her again in St Andrew after I
moved back to Edinburgh. |

A few days later, during the New Years time,
Sarah came with her bunch of friends from hometown. Sally
got us ticket for the New Year Party on Prince's Street.
However, history sometimes replay, so did this time. The
street party was cancelled again because of heavy rain.

New
flatmate - Professor Zhu
The University take one visiting professor from China every
year. Professor Zhu was one of them, and happened to start
living with us to sharing the rent.

Friends in the Uni
There are a bunch of phd mates in our office. I used to chat
with Zac and Sam. Latter on, Cherie (below) came, sitting in
the "popular" sit and become a very active member of the
room. ^_^
There is a beautiful
nature hill just a few minutes walk out side the campus
gate. And there is a peaceful lake as well, with a mass of
swans, ducks, pigeons and seagulls. Happily, one day we got
a model. ;)

This one is now working outside Edinburgh,
after completing her MSc. We had a lot of parties and
Karaoke with other friends. More photos will be added later.
By the way, Mike (my previous St Andrews classmate) is also
here!!
New Year's Party - 2007
During Spring Festival time, we all go to my hospital
supervisor's house, and enjoy a great meal.

New Year's Party - 2008
Same time next year, same place, we were playing Majang!
~ haha
(I only played one run, but very luckily it happened to be a
huge win ;)

About Church
By the way, I didn't
forget to go to the Church. Even Graziella and Don came
visit me and drive me to the Adventist in Edinburgh. I
wanted to continue to be in a choir group there. However,
the church was too far away and not body picks me up!! ~
Later on, about Choir, I found Napier Choir, join them, but
not they are not very well organized, kind of waste time. So
the only singing time became Karaoke after moved onto High
Street. About Graziella and Don, oh, they
got
married two years later, and I was their photographer,
and Yang did the filming! ~~ :P

In my Firrhill Drive flat, tasting Felix's
Yamee Chinese Cooking - "Egg and Tomatoes". haha ~
Back in China - Trip One
Not need to mention, how Eva came, and we fall in love, and
started a relationship then got married (a lot of photos on
my wife's page). Between these period, I also got two
chances to go back China. So now you can see a few sceneries
in both of my hometowns. The first trip, I came back alone,
but being to a lot places.

One of my other hometown, where I grew with my grandma
(Lao Lao). The boy below grew up with me when we were
little, who is one of my father's two buddies' son. We three
always play together, like our parents. The other one does
not appear in this group of photos.

One of the girls, with blue square grid on her clothes,
was my junior high school classmate. :) haven't met for many
many years.
Stayed with Yang for a few days. His mom is really one of
the kindest ladies in the world.

Back to my undergraduate University in Bengbu as well.

Got a photograph in front of the new campus. :)

A kind uncle who always invited me to his home for meals,
when I was doing my undergraduates in China.

Time was right. My high school best friend's wedding!!!
~~

First time meeting my future parents-in-law. ~

Finally, the last thing I did when I went back to China
last time, was taking an advanced driving class in all my
limited spare time.

The truck was 8 meters' long. Believe me or not, I drove
it all the way through busy shopping districts! ~
Back in China - Trip Two
About a year later, when I went back to China for the second
time -- I got married!! ~
Remember the girl on the right, who I met a few years
ago in London, and then came Edinburgh last Autumn?.. Yes,
she is now my wife. :)

A lot of family photos in Dun Huang, Lan Zhou (where my
grandparents lives) and Liao Yang.

We didn't get enough time. The University conference was
coming soon and we could not spend the Spring Festival at
home that year. So, the last thing we did, and actually the
worthiest - taking a lot of studio wedding dress photos.
Finally, somebody take my photos. :P
Moving onto the Royal Mile
By the way, I moved out of Firrhill Drive, to the High
Street ("The Royal Mile"), in a one double bedroom flat,
before the second trip backing China, to prepare for a new
married life.
